The blend of coffee that plants trees in Kenya with the purpose of reducing the co2 generated by man.
The desire to contribute to lowering one’s environmental impact is a deeply felt issue in this period. Also here, at His Majesty the Coffee, attention to the environment is a priority: the coffee supply chain inevitably has a great effect on our ecosystem and for this reason “For The Planet” was born, a blend that helps the territory.
The awareness that the quantity of a Co2 released into the air with the production of coffee is now in the public domain. The production process of this wonderful drink is very detrimental to our environment. However, it is not possible to think of eliminating some production processes or, simply, avoid shipping from the plantations to the countries where it is roasted.
The collaboration with Gone West, a project that aims to plant trees in different areas of the planet, has allowed us to create this blend of 100% Arab
ica coffee, all from the African continent. With the purchase of a 250g bag of coffee, everyone will participate in the project, allowing them to plant a tree in Kenya.

lot because it has the vision of creating a more sustainable planet: with them we have the chance of supporting native trees being planted on the land. This is why we decided to become part of this “army of tree planters defending your planet “, as they define themselves.

“For The Planet” will be available in two versions: for filter coffee lovers, the scents that emerge are characterized by a delicate acidity, reminiscent of blood orange, earl gray tea and small berry fruits, such as blackberries. For those who prefer espresso or moka extraction, the blend offers notes of clementine, yellow peach and the velvety sensation of dragon fruit pulp.
As always, our choice is to focus on quality: the coffees are chosen from micro-lots selected by Paolo Scimone, roasted separately to enhance the qualities of each origin and then blended to create the final harmony. Given the variety that nature offers us, the mixture can change in its composition, while maintaining the constant origin from Africa, to be a link with the aim of planting trees in Kenya.
The current composition includes 4 different coffees:
Ethiopia, Wolisho and Dega, washed
Ethiopia, Heirloom, natural
Kenya, SL28, SL3, washed
Rwanda, Bourbon, fully washed
Trying to involve all coffee enthusiasts, we really want to have a strong social impact: each package means a tree planted.
